Before actor Daryl Sabara turned in an incredible performance as a troubled teen in last year's World's Greatest Dad, the young actor made a name for himself appearing in all three of director Robert Rodriguez's kids films, Spy Kids, Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams and Spy Kids 3D: Game Over as Juni Cortez. Now Sabara has reunited with Rodriguez for his upcoming film Machete and when we ran into Sabara on the red carpet of the Streamy Awards last night, he told us a bit about his character, Julio.

"He's a vato, a cholo gangster guy," Sabara said. "He's one of Machete's right-hand men, so it was a lot of fun."

Sabara also spoke about working with the film's star Danny Trejo.

"Danny was on all the Spy Kids movies and I remember my first impression of Danny was like, 'Holy s&^t he scares me a lot," but he's the sweetest guy ever. It was really awesome because he's the lead, he's Machete, he's the action hero. I'm really excited for it. It's going to be great."

We'll be sure to keep you posted on any further news on Machete as soon as we have more information.
