Writer/director Ric Roman Waugh worked for years in the prison system and saw first hand how unfair mandatory drug sentences can destroyed lives. His latest crime thriller Snitch is based on the true story of a father, John Matthews (Dwayne Johnson), whose son is set-up by his best friend in a drug sting. Matthews goes undercover to prevent his son from facing a minimum ten year sentence in federal prison. Snitch serves as a great commentary on the failed drug war and is the most dramatic role yet from Dwayne Johnson. Barry Pepper costars as a wary DEA agent, along with Jon Bernthal, who plays a former convict forced back into the drug trade.
