Since then the actress has become a household name with major roles in an array of different films including Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Enchanted, Doubt, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian and most recently Julie & Julia opposite Meryl Streep. Now, well on her way to being the next Julia Roberts, the actress returns with a new romantic comedy set against the beautiful landscape of Ireland entitled Leap Year, opening in theaters on January 8th. Leap Year follows one woman's determined quest to get married to the perfect guy ... despite what fate might have in store for her. We recently had an opportunity to sit down and talk with the busy actress, along with her co-star Matthew Goode from Watchmen, to discuss the new movie, working with each other, filming in Ireland and the power old Irish traditions. When their four-year anniversary passes without a marriage proposal, Anna (Adams) decides to take matters into her own hands. Investing in an Irish tradition that allows women to propose to men on February 29th, Anna decides to follow her boyfriend Jeremy (Adam Scott) to Dublin and get down on one knee herself. But airplanes, weather and fate leave Anna stranded on the other side of Ireland, and she must enlist the help of handsome and surly Declan (Matthew Goode) to get her across the country. As Anna and Declan bicker across the Emerald Isle, they discover that the road to love can take you to very unexpected places.
