You know, some things never go out of style and that certainly seems true for 3D animation. Starting with this summer's Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and continuing later this year with James Cameron's highly anticipated Avatar and even Disney's re-release of Toy Story on IMAX 3D next month, it definitely seems to be a popular trend these days. Not to be out done, Sony Animation is now releasing their version of Judi and Ron Barrett's classic children's story Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs on IMAX 3D, in theatres everywhere on September 18th. I had the chance to speak exclusively to the stars of the film, Anna Faris, Bill Hader and Bobb'e J. Thompson about this delicious movie that will leave you asking for seconds.

The film features Saturday Night Live star, Bill Hader as the voice of Flint Lockwood, a hapless inventor longing for the approval of his Father, voiced by James Caan. When Flint invents a machine that can turn water into food, it would seem that he had solved his town's lack of food problem, but what begins is a chain of events that causes the clouds to rain food. Now suddenly a media darling, Flint meets Sam (Anna Faris) a weather girl covering the town's food raining phenomenon, who Flint takes a quick liking to. As the greedy Mayor (Bruce Campbell) begins to use the town's odd weather to advance his agenda of turning it into a tourist attraction, Flint must team up with Sam, his Father, his monkey - Steve (Neil Patrick Harris), the Chief of Police (Mr. T) and the local townspeople to stop the Mayor and Flint's out of control invention before they destroy the world. Also featuring the voices of Andy Samberg, Bobb'e J. Thompson, Benjamin Bratt, Will Forte and Lauren Graham, and directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs opens in theatres everywhere on September 18th.
