Ice Cube began his career as a member of the seminal West coast rap group N.W.A. but quickly transformed himself into a movie star with roles in such films as Boyz N the Hood, Higher Learning, Three Kings and XXX: State of the Union. The actor is also an accomplished writer and producer and has built three of his hit films, Friday, Barbershop and Are We There Yet?, into successful franchises. Now Cube is beginning to make another transition in his career from that of leading man to supporting actor in the new film Lottery Ticket, which he also produced and opens in theaters on August 20th. In addition to Cube the film's cast features a mix of talented young actors, veteran actors and comedians including Bow Wow (Like Mike), Brandon T. Lottery Ticket is the story of Kevin Carson (including Bow Wow), a young man living in the projects who is holding a winning lottery ticket worth $350 million. When his opportunistic neighbors discover he has the winning ticket in his possession, Kevin must survive their greedy and sometimes even threatening actions over a three-day holiday weekend before he can claim his prize.
