Director Kathryn Bigelow and writer Mark Boal bring the epic search for Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden to the screen in Zero Dark Thirty. The film chronicles the ten year manhunt through the eyes of "Maya", a young CIA analyst. Jessica Chastain plays Maya with a fierce conviction. Her entry into the world of black operations begins with a brutal interrogation by team leader "Dan" (Jason Clarke). As time passes and leads grow cold, Maya and her fellow operatives in Pakistan, "Jessica" (Jennifer Ehle) and "Joseph" (Kyle Chandler) face many dangerous obstacles. Culminating in the discovery of Osama Bin Laden's hideout and his death by the US Navy's elite Seal Team Six. Zero Dark Thirty takes a straightforward, unflinching, and apolitical approach to these events. I believe that Jessica Chastain, who has been exceptionally good in several high profile films over the last few years, will win the Best Actress Oscar for her portrayal of Maya. Chastain is a lively, spirited person in real life. She was honored to have the chance to portray this formidable woman.
