Director Ridley Scott explains why he wanted to tell the story of Moses in a new featurette for his upcoming epic adventure Exodus: Gods and Kings.

The filmmaker reveals he was struck by everything Moses (Christian Bale) went through, including his rivalry with Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses (Joel Edgerton) that lead to an epic war as Moses tries to cross through Egypt. We also hear from production designer Arthur Max, who reveals this is the biggest production he has ever worked on. Learn more about this Biblical epic before it arrives in theaters December 12.
