Less than one month after actor Bruce Willis boarded the action-thriller Extraction, Gina Carano has been confirmed to join the cast, along with Kellan Lutz. We reported last week that actress Gina Carano will star in Extraction before she plays Angel Dust in Deadpool, but now her role has been confirmed.
The story centers on a CIA agent (Bruce Willis) who gets kidnapped by a terrorist group. Kellan Lutz is playing his son, Harry Turner, a CIA rookie agent who conducts a rescue mission on his own, against the agency's wishes. Gina Carano is playing Victoria, a hardened field operative tasked with finding Harry. The supporting cast includes Dan Bilzerian, Lydia Hull and Tyler J. Olson.
Steven C. Miller (Silent Night, The Aggression Scale) is directing from a screenplay by Umair Aleem and Max Adams. Randall Emmett, George Furla and Adam Goldworm are producing for Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films, which is providing the financing alongside Ingenious and Odyssey Releasing Media. Lionsgate/Grindstone will distribute the action-thriller in the U.S. Production is currently under way in Alabama.
Gina Carano will next be seen in the Kickboxer remake along with Deadpool, which she will shoot after Extraction wraps. Kellan Lutz most recently starred in The Legend of Hercules and The Expendables 3.
