New reports have suggested that The Flash star Ezra Miller may be a superhero on screen but is still only human in real life and found themselves being arrested in Hawaii on a charge of disorderly conduct and harassment. Since being cast as The Flash in the DCEU, Miller is set to take the lead in their own solo movie in June next year after The Flash was one of the movies delayed recently by Warner Bros. While the report of Miller’s arrest will come as a disappointment to their fans, it is not the first time the actor has found themselves under scrutiny for their off-screen actions.

The latest incident was reported by Hawaii News Now, which said a 29-year-old reported to be the DCEU star was picked up by local police at a Karaoke bar, and other outlets later confirmed the news. The incident seems to have involved Miller getting unruly in the bar, noting that they were “yelling obscenities and at one point grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke…and later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts.” However, there seemed to be no details on what, if anything, instigated the actor’s actions, they were said to have been released after paying a $500 bail.

So far, there have been no statements made by either Miller, or Warner Bros. in relation to the actor’s conduct. Still, in a week that has had its fair share of actors behaving badly, Miller’s disruptive behavior is just another case of an actor acting in a way unbecoming of someone in a role model role. Although it seems unlikely that this will have any bearing on Miller’s upcoming appearance in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore or The Flash, it is likely that the actor will still face some strong reprimand from Warner Bros. about their conduct.

This may be the first time Miller has found themselves making headlines for spending a few hours in a police cell for their actions, but it is not the first time that The Flash star has brought a lot of scrutiny on themselves. In early 2020, Miller was reported to have been ejected from a bar in Reykjavik after being seen attacking a woman and putting their hands around her neck.

A five-second-long video posted by a friend of the woman was confirmed to show Miller grabbing the woman after he was jokingly asked if he wanted a fight and seemed to take the jibe a little too seriously. According to the uploader of the video, the star was visibly showing “scars” from several other fights they had recently been involved in, but no charges were ever brought, and neither the actor nor his representatives made a statement about the incident.

Miller has since made an appearance as The Flash in James Gunn’s Peacemaker season finale and, along with their Fantastic Beasts and The Flash roles, has completed filming a role portraying a young Salvador Dali in the Ben Kingsley movie Daliland. They are currently not believed to have any other roles in production and following this latest altercation, that may not change in the immediate future.
