It is clear that Ben Affleck has an affiliation with his role as Batman, having originally quit the role following the fallout of the original Justice League release, which saw him leaving the solo project that would become Robert Pattinson's The Batman, but then returning for both Zack Snyder's Justice League reshoots and his next appearance in the cowl as part of the cast of The Flash. Although Affleck has once again claimed that this is the last time he will be playing Batman, one Justice League member thinks otherwise.

Ezra Miller will be playing Barry Allen/The Flash in his upcoming DCEU solo movie, and it is well known that he will star alongside both Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton's Batmen in the feature. Recently, Miller suggested that this being Affleck's last run as Batman is something worth laughing at, as he posted a screenshot of an article by Variety that suggested the movie will be "one last time" out for Affleck's version of the Gotham crime fighter.

Of course, posting something like this on his Instagram stories was always going to catch the interest of both Affleck's fans and those of the DCEU. Of course, Miller has been known to throw a few curveballs in the past and this could well be another of them, but the image was enough to get people talking, and in the end, that means they will also be thinking about The Flash movie. It's all in the marketing.

Ben Affleck Says His Scenes in The Flash Are His Favorite Batman Moments

Affleck spoke recently to The Herald Sun recently about working on The Flash, and confessed that it had been his favorite time as Batman, which is not surprising considering he also called working on the original Justice League the worst experience of his life. This time around, it seems that there is a lot less pressure about his role in The Flash, and perhaps that plays a big part in his comments. He said:

"I have never said this — this is hot off the presses — but maybe my favorite scenes in terms of Batman and the interpretation of Batman that I have done, were in the Flash movie. I hope they maintain the integrity of what we did because I thought it was great and really interesting — different, but not in a way that is incongruent with the character. Who knows? Maybe they will decide that it doesn't work, but when I went and did it, it was really fun and really, really satisfying and encouraging and I thought, 'Wow — I think I have finally figured it out.'"

At the end of the interview, Affleck concluded by saying that his work on The Flash alongside his reunion with Zack Snyder of the Snyder Cut on Justice League is “a really nice finish” to his Batman experience. Whether that turns out to be the case or not is something that only time will tell, but for now, Affleck’s last appearance as Batman is coming in November when The Flash arrives in cinemas.
