In a story from VarietyFamily Guy has been given the go ahead by Twentieth Century Fox TV to perform a live table reading of the show's controversial "abortion episode" next week.

Because of the subject matter, Fox decided not to air this episode. This is only the second time in the show's history that the network has done that.

Taking part in this episode will be its creator-star Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Mila Kunis, Mike Henry, Mark Hentemann and Steve Callaghan.

This event will take place next Wednesday at Hollywood's Ricardo Montalban Theater.

"The subject matter makes it sound like the raciest thing we've ever done, but it's a balanced episode," MacFarlane states.

The episode, titled "Partial Terms of Endearment", has mom Lois being a surrogate mother. She gets conflicted when the friend she is helping out dies.

The episode was written by Danny Smith.
