Writer-producer Simon Kinberg is currently in post-production on the 20th Century Fox superhero adventure The Fantastic Four, and everything we've heard about the reboot thus far makes it clear that this is vastly different than any other incarnation of these superheroes that have come before it. With the release less than a year away, many fans have been wondering when the first footage will debut. When asked that very question in a recent interview, Simon Kinberg reveals that he doesn't known when the first trailer will arrive. But he has a good reason why we haven't seen anything yet.

The team behind The Fantastic Four reboot want to make sure the "voice" of the movie is fully intact when it is introduced to the public. Simon Kinberg explains:

"We're putting it together now, and one of the important things, because this Fantastic Four is a reboot, and is such a different tonality and vibe from those other films, we want to make sure that the first thing we put out really expresses the voice of the movie, and isn't compromised by not having visual effects ready, or anything like that. I don't actually know when it's coming out, but I've seen all the footage from the movie. I was there for pretty much the whole shoot. It is a very different film from the others, and one that I think is very different from other superhero movies. It's a very emotional, character-driven, more grounded film than I think people are anticipating."

In an interview with MTV, The Fantastic Four star Miles Teller spoke about working with director Josh Trank and how the reboot will surprise the fans:

"With Fantastic Four, I'll say that it's a movie with a director who has a very clear tone. Josh Trank, I think, is a really talented guy. He did Chronicle and now he's doing The Fantastic Four and he's doing another Star Wars movie. I think people are starting to realize his talents. And we have really good actors, with Jamie Bell and Michael B. Jordan and Kate Mara and Toby Kebbell. I think we're going to surprise people, for sure. It's very different from the ones that came out a couple of years ago."

When do you think we'll see the first footage from The Fantastic Four? We still have plenty of time, since it doesn't hit theaters until August 7, 2015, but hopefully we'll get a glimpse of this highly-anticipated reboot in the near future.
