The first Fast & Furious 9 trailer will drop on January 31st, 2020. But that's not all. In order to get as many eyes on the first footage from the highly anticipated sequel as possible, the studio is holding a concert in Florida. The cast of the movie will be on hand to deliver the trailer, along with performances by Cardi B, Wiz Khalifa, Charlie Puth, Ozuna, and Ludacris. The concert event will take place in Miami, Florida, but no venue has been announced at this time.

Fast and Furious 9 just wrapped shooting in November. So, this is a perfect way to launch the Fast & Furious 9 promotional campaign. It's big and over the top, just like the franchise is on the big screen. In order to attend the event, fans can head over to the official Instagram account for the sequel and fill out a form, which does not guarantee entry into the event. As for being out of state, you'll be responsible for getting yourself to Miami if you happen to be one of the few chosen ones to see the trailer before anyone else. There does not appear to be any age restrictions on the site, so bring the kids.

Vin Diesel has been prepping Fast & Furious fans all week for a big announcement and the trailer drop event was his news. Fast & Furious 9 hits theaters this summer after hitting a few speed bumps along the way. However, once production was able to begin, everything seemed to run smooth with principal photography wrapping last month. Diesel and the rest of the cast, which includes newcomer John Cena and Cardi B, are excited for fans to see what they've cooked up for the ninth installment in the long-running franchise. Charlize Theron is also returning as villain Cipher, though she may switch to the good guys team before all is said and done.

As for the Fast & Furious 9 trailer, Vin Diesel has already seen it and says it's 4 minutes-long. This would explain hyping the release into something more, like a concert event. Leave it to one of the longest running franchises in history to change the promotional game with a giant trailer release concert event. Diesel had this to say about the trailer.

"I yesterday saw the four-minute trailer. The launch will be announced on the 18th of this month. I just saw it yesterday. And I was just telling [Michelle Rodriguez] how blown away she's going to be and I realized I should probably tell you guys too. It's just -- I was speechless. I literally had to see [director] Justin [Lin] and have dinner with him immediately. I was just speechless. I can't wait for you guys to see it."

Fast & Furious 9 opens in theaters on May 22nd, 2020. It will be the first movie from the franchise to hit theaters since the Hobbs & Shaw spin-off, which was a box office success over this past summer. Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham do not have parts in Fast & Furious 9, but it appears that the feud is over. Johnson and Vin Diesel will more than likely reunite for Fast & Furious 10 when it's announced. You can head over to the The Fast Saga Instagram account for more information about attending the special trailer event.
