Fast & Furious 7 is gearing up to start production this fall, and we already know that shooting will take place in Los Angeles. Today we have a report that a portion of the filming is set to take place in Colorado Springs, Colorado on the Pikes Peak Highway.

A news release was sent out on Friday that revealed an unspecified Universal Pictures project would be shooting in the area in early September, but insiders believe it will be this sequel starring Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. The Pikes Peak Highway will be partially closed for production on September 3 and September 4 from Glen Cove to the Summit, with the highway to be completely shut down on September 5 through September 10.

Another clue that Fast & Furious 7 is shooting in the area is that Paul Walker served as the Grand Marshal for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb this summer, driving the official pace car with Colorado Springs mayor Steve Bach.

James Wan is directing from a screenplay by Chris Morgan, with Jason Statham, Ronda Rousey and Tony Jaa co-starring.
