Fast X Set to Be the Most Expensive and Star-Studded Fast and Furious Film Yet

The highly anticipated sequel Fast X is set to be one of the biggest and most expensive movies of all time due to a variety of factors, including increased salaries for the cast, general production cost increases caused by global inflation, and COVID-19 safety protocols. Fast X features an ensemble cast of superstars, including Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Momoa, John Cena, Brie Larson, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Scott Eastwood, Michael Rooker, Daniela Melchior, Alan Ritchson, Cardi B, Helen Mirren, Rita Moreno, and Charlize Theron.

This time around, Dominic Toretto and his family must once again take on the criminal mastermind and cyberterrorist, Cipher, who has teamed up with Dante. While the details of their plan remain unknown, it's expected to cause chaos and force Dom and his gang to come together once again. Despite the excitement surrounding the film, there have been some behind-the-scenes conflicts that have affected the production. Originally, director Justin Lin, who has directed five of the Fast and Furious movies, was set to return before abruptly leaving the project after filming had begun. Reports suggest Lin had a "major disagreement" with Vin Diesel, who reportedly arrived at a meeting with notes, causing Lin to feel unhappy. Louis Leterrier, the director of Now You See Me, has now taken the helm.

Despite these challenges, fans can expect an action-packed film with an all-star cast and a storyline filled with twists and turns. Fast X hits theaters on May 19.
