Author E.L. James revealed through her Twitter account yesterday that production is under way on Fifty Shades of Grey. Take a look at the first photo from the set, then read on for more about this adaptation.

Universal Pictures announced last month that the release date was pushed from August 1, 2014 to February 13, 2015, although it wasn't known exactly when production was beginning, until now.

Jamie Dornan stars as 27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey, who engages in a torrid affair with college student Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson). Jennifer Ehle, Luke Grimes, Victor Rasuk, Eloise Mumford and Max Martini round out the cast.

Sam Taylor-Johnson is directing from a script by Kelly Marcel, Patrick Marber and Mark Bomback, which was adapted from the E.L. James novel.
