David Koechner is confirmed for New Line's Final Destination 5, joining Miles Fisher, Nicholas D'Agosto, P.J. Byrne and Ellen Wroe in the latest installment of the death-cheating franchise, directed by Steven Quale, according to Heat Vision.

The film franchise focuses on a group of people who survive a catastrophic event but end up meeting death in the order they were meant to, as if their ends are inescapable. The new movie sees the new batch of victims, co-workers on a corporate retreat, escaping the collapse of a city's suspension bridge.

David Koechner is playing a clueless executive. Nicholas D'Agosto is playing a guy who doesn't make fast decision in his own life.

P.J. Byrne plays an obnoxious kleptomaniac. Ellen Wroe plays the daughter of a company executive, a woman with gymnast training who is a little snobby and for whom everything is a contest.

Also, Tony Todd, who's been involved in all but one of the "Destination" movies, is back playing Mr. Bludworth.

Eric Heisserer wrote the script.

Production begins Sept. 13 start date in Vancouver.
