Voting members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences must return their completed final Oscar ballots to PricewaterhouseCoopers by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28.
Ballots received after the 5 p.m. deadline will not be counted.
Final ballots, 5,798 of them, were mailed to voting members of the Academy on Wednesday, February 8.
Once PricewaterhouseCoopers has tabulated the votes, the winners’ names are placed in sealed, foil-lined envelopes. Two of the firm’s partners, Brad Oltmanns and Rick Rosas, will be the only two people to know the results prior to the envelopes being opened on Oscar Night®, Sunday, March 5.
