Gotham creator Bruno Heller previously promised that Arkham Asylum will play an important role in Fox's upcoming Batman prequel series Gotham, and he didn't lie. The infamous location, which has housed some of Gotham's biggest, baddest villains, will make its first appearance in the fourth episode, tentatively titled Lavender. Batman-News has our first look at Arkham Asylum with a set photo snapped by a local resident of Staten Island, New York, who was on location at the transformed Bayley Seton Hospital. Take a look:

It's speculated that this fourth episode will mark the debut of Hugo Strange. About the Doctor's appearance on the show, Bruno Heller explained in an earlier interview:

"Hugo Strange is going to pop up because we're going to start dealing with how Arkham was created and why Arkham was created in the way that it was so, yeah, absolutely. It's a Season One thing because in our telling of it the way Arkham was created and the why and how is one of the causes of the particular criminal climate in Gotham that allowed Batman to happen. The revolving door of Arkham is both a brilliant narrative device because it allows you to -- you don't have to kill people off, you can just put them in cold storage."

What do you guys think? Is it creepy enough for you?
