While it may not have the name recognition of other toy line adaptations such as Transformers and G.I. Joe, Mattel's Max Steel could very well be the next to make the big leap from the toy shelves to box office success. New photos have been released which give us our first look at the title character, Maxwell McGrath (Ben Winchell), both in and out of his superhero costume, Sofia Martinez (Ana Villafañe) and Maria Bello as Max's mother. Moviefone also reports that Max Steel will make its presence known at Comic-Con 2014 later this month, although it isn't known if the first footage will be shown, since production just started in late April. Stay tuned for the latest updates.

Max Steel tells the story of teenager Maxwell McGrath and alien companion Steel who can combine special turbo-energy powers to generate sensational superhero Max Steel. The storyline centers on bringing a positive and relatable hero to kids, drawing upon turbo-charged teamwork, laughter and friendship.
