While Fox hasn't been sparing with news from X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and footage was even shown at the 2008 Comic-Con, fans have been wondering impatiently to see the first trailer. Well now, according to X-Men Films.net, we know that the first theatrical trailer will arrive this December, and will be attached to The Day the Earth Stood Still.

That's right. If you want to see Hugh Jackman wearing the sideburns and adamantium claws of Marvel's most famous mutant hero, you'll need to check out the remake of the 1951 classic science fiction film starring Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly. Or you can just wait for the trailer to hit the web.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine explores Wolverine's early days, before joining the X-Men. The film will cover Logan's early life, and his involvement with the mysterious Weapon X program. Directed by Gavin Hood, the film stars Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Dominic Monaghan, Danny Huston, Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Kitsch, will.i.am, Daniel Henney, Scott Adkins and Lynn Collins.
