In the midst of promoting The Dark Knight, producer Charles Roven revealed that Warner Brothers hasn't given up plans for The Flash. Speaking to iF Magazine, Roven said that the film was still on the books, but had hit delays due to various union strikes.

"David Dobkin is still directing," Roven says, "though I can't even begin to talk about it, because we're not even writing it yet."

So, with a film about a super-fast hero, why has it been so slow to come to the screen? Roven explains "The writer's strike and possible actor's strike has definitely slowed down the development process," he admits. "We're hopeful of course it's still going to happen."
