Last week, The CW Network released a trailer that showcased the /flash-season-1-trailer-final-4-episodes/final four episodes of The Flash Season 1, although it largely featured footage from tomorrow night's "The Trap". Today, the network has released an "Endgame" trailer that appears to include footage from all of the remaining episodes, and teases a few very intriguing developments, including what could lead to the formation of a Justice League on the CW series. The most interesting piece of footage shows The Flash's enemy Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) joining forces with Barry (Grant Gustin) and his team to take down Reverse-Flash (Tom Cavanagh).
This footage also shows us Barry teaming up with Arrow's Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell). And we also get a very brief glimpse at the monstrous Gorilla Grodd. At the very end of the trailer, we also see Oliver standing over a presumably defeated Reverse-Flash, drawing back an arrow he has aimed right at his head. Naturally, we don't see Oliver kill Reverse-Flash, but we know that Queen comes back in the second-to-last episode this season, "Rogue Air", so that is likely where this scene takes place.
After "The Trap" airs tomorrow night on The CW, The Flash Season 1 only has three more episodes left to air. "Grodd Lives" debuts Tuesday, May 5, where Reverse-Flash unleashes Grodd on Central City, to try and distract Barry and his team, which leads to the massive gorilla kidnapping Joe West (Jesse L. Martin). "Rogue Air" debuts on May 12, where Barry recruits Captain Cold to fight for his team, and brings in Arrow and Firestorm as well after learning about Captain Cold's true agenda. The season finale, "Fast Enough", airs on Tuesday, May 19, but the CW hasn't released any plot details at this time.
Along with the new trailer, we also have new photos that give us a better look at Gorilla Grodd and Barry's new team members, and an intriguing "comic book" promo from the show's Twitter page, which features an artificial intelligence entity known as Gideon, who identifies Barry as "Director of Central City Police, CSI Division," a position he has not attained yet, meaning Gideon is likely from the future. The promo also teases that Barry is a founding member of the Justice League, which it looks like is taking shape in this latest trailer. What do you think about these new details?
