If today's news that the voice of villainous Zoom has been cast didn't give you The Flash fix you're looking for, then perhaps this new Season 2 poster featuring Jay Garrick's iconic helmet will do the trick. Today's earlier report revealed that the second Season 2 episode will be called Flash of Two Worlds, which is the title of an iconic comic book featuring both Barry Allen and Jay Garrick. It's certainly possible that this episode will be the first time we see Jay Garrick, played by Teddy Sears, but we may see him first in the season premiere, The Man Who Saved Central City, airing Tuesday, October 6.

Earlier this month, The CW released a new poster that featured both Jay Garrick and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), which was an homage to the classic 1961 comic The Flash #123, better known as Flash of Two Worlds. This comic book was the first to introduce the multiverse, where it was revealed that both Barry and Jay hailed from Earth-1 and Earth-2. It has already been confirmed that The Flash Season 2 will introduce the multiverse, which was briefly teased in the Season 1 finale, when Barry entered the singularity known as the Speed Force.

New cast members coming aboard in Season 2 include Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West, Michael Ironside playing Lewis Snart, Shantel VanSanten as Patty Spivot, former WWE Superstar Adam Copeland, a.k.a. Edge playing Atom Smasher, Violett Beane as Jesse Quick, Demore Barnes as Henry Hewitt and Tony Todd voicing the primary villain Zoom. Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg revealed earlier today that the show will draw out the mystery of who (or what) is actually inside the Zoom suit, unlike last season, when it was revealed early on that Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) is Reverse-Flash.

Also coming aboard this season are two characters who will be introduced in The Flash, before starring in the midseason spinoff DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Falk Hentschel's Hawkman and Casper Crump's Vandall Savage will pop up in unspecified episodes of The Flash before DC's Legends of Tomorrow debuts this spring. The CW also released a new trailer that teases Barry Allen's new blue lightning powers, which will surely be on display during the season premiere, airing Tuesday, October 6 at 8 PM ET on The CW.

You may recall that the The Flash Season 1 finale featured a brief glimpse of this helmet while Barry was in the Speed Force, and all we know about Jay Garrick in the show is that he arrives in Central City to warn Barry and his team of an impending danger that he cannot stop on his own. It's certainly possible that Jay will be warning Barry about Zoom, but we don't know for sure. While we wait for more details on this new season of The Flash, check out this new poster, to get a closer look at Jay Garrick's helmet.
