The Walking Dead alum Emily Kinney has signed on to play Brie Larvan, a.k.a. The Bug-Eyed Bandit in CW's hit series The Flash. The casting news has yet to be confirmed by The CW, but the actress was spotted by Punkd_Images arriving at the Vancouver airport. The show's version of The Bug-Eyed Bandit will reportedly be much different than the original comic book version of the character.

In the DC Comics, The Bug-Eyed Bandit was a male named Bertram Larvan, who was created by Gardner Fox and Gil Kane and debuted in 1966. The character was primarily a villain who battled with Atom, a character played by Brandon Routh in Arrow. In the comics, The Bug-Eyed Bandit created an army of mechanical insects as a means of pest control, but he eventually turned to a life of crime. It isn't known if The CW series will use this same origin, or if they will create a whole new back story for this female Bug-Eyed Bandit.

Brandon Routh's Atom character on Arrow will also be crossing over to The Flash in the show's 18th episode entitled "All-Star Team Up", so it's possible that we could see Emily Kinney's Brie Larvan show up here as well. The casting comes just a few months after the actress' character Beth was tragically killed off in The Walking Dead midseason finale back in November.
