Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) puts his super speed to the test running up the side of a building to save a man's life in a new clip from next week's episode of The Flash, "Plastique", airing Tuesday, November 11 at 8 PM ET on The CW.

Before pulling off this gravity-defying feat, Barry first consults with Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) and Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), who inform Barry that he needs to maintain the same velocity on the way down, as Iris West (Candice Patton) watches his heroics from afar. As referenced in title, this episode will introduce fans to Bette Sans Souci, a.k.a. Plastique (Kelly Frye), although she is not featured in this scene.

In related news, The Flash has added yet another new cast member, with Micah Parker (The Vampire Diaries) signing on to play a character named Clay Parker, who first appears in the show's 12th episode. While the character does not originate in the DC Comics, his girlfriend may be familiar to comic readers. Here's The CW's official character description, although it isn't ultimately clear who Clay's girlfriend is.

"Clay Parker, an inmate at Iron Heights Prison, is currently locked up for stealing money and working with a big-time crime lord in Central City. When Clay's girlfriend breaks him out of prison, Clay exploits her feelings for him and convinces her to utilize her meta-human powers for one last heist before they leave the city for good."
