During last night's episode of The CW's Flash title "Power Outage", fans were introduced to new character Gideon, the A.I. personal assistant to S.T.A.R. Labs' Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh). Several wondered who voiced this mysterious addition to the series, who first appears when Wells is re-evaluating his plans for Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), regarding the events that take place in the year 2024. Today, TV Line confirmed that Morena Baccarin was the one who provided the voice of Gideon.

It isn't known quite yet if Gideon will be appearing in future episodes. The actress will be introduced next year on another DC Comics series, Fox's Gotham, portraying Dr. Leslie Thompkins in a recurring role, with the potential to become a series regular in Season 2. Since she is only providing her voice for Gideon, it's possible that the actress may be able to pull off double duty, contributing to both shows at the same time.

Morena Baccarin is best known for her roles in Firefly, V and, most recently, Homeland, but she has also voiced DC Comics characters in the past. She has lent her voice to Dinah Lance in the animated Justice League TV series, along with Cheetah in Batman: The Brave and The Bold and Talia al Ghul in this year's animated feature Son of Batman.

The Flash returns next week with "Flash vs. Arrow", the first half of a two-night crossover event with Arrow, airing Tuesday, December 2 at 8 PM ET on The CW. Do you think Morena Baccarin should come back to voice Gideon again? Chime in with your thoughts below.
