Actor Brian Geraghty (The Hurt Locker) is in negotiations to star in Flight for Paramount Pictures and director Robert Zemeckis.

Flight centers on a commercial airline pilot (Denzel Washington) who heroically saves the lives of his passengers during a plane crash. When the FAA investigation reveals the pilot was abusing drugs, they try to cover up the findings to preserve his image. Brian Geraghty will play Denzel Washington's co-pilot, who turns to religion after the crash. We reported last week that Don Cheadle and Bruce Greenwood are in negotiations to star in the drama.

Robert Zemeckis will direct Flight from a screenplay by John Gatins (Real Steel). It isn't known when production will begin on Flight.

Flight is Robert Zemeckis' first live-action feature project since Cast Away in 2000.
