Paramount Pictures wants to keep working with new Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit), acquiring the rights to Cat Patrick's novel Forgotten for the young actress to star in.

The novel centers on 16-year-old London Lane, a girl whose memory is inexplicably erased at 4:33 AM every morning. When she wakes up, she cannot remember her past, but can only see the events of her future. She meets a new boy at school and becomes frustrated that she can't find him in any of her future memories.

Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage will produce the movie through their Fake Empire production company. The Cat Patrick novel will be published by Little Brown in June.

No screenwriter or director have been attached to Forgotten yet.
