Fox 2000 has bought the rights to the romantic comedy, Garlic and Sapphires.

The film is based on the memoirs of food writer Ruth Reichl, which covers her evolution from chef to food writer. The story was previously attached to HBO as a half-hour comedy series; the project was redeveloped as a feature and sold to Fox. Jeremy Leven is writing the screenplay, says Variety.

No production schedule has been set for Garlic and Sapphires.
