According to The Hollywood Reporter, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has become the third major studio to say it will release movies for Sony's PlayStation Portable, fueling sentiments that the hot new game machine will become the dominant hand-held device for watching movies.

Two other majors, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and Buena Vista Home Entertainment, already are onboard, as are mini-major Lions Gate Entertainment and independent Geneon Entertainment. Universal Studios Home Entertainment also is expected to release Universal Media Disc-format movies by summer, with an initial slate that sources say likely will include The Chronicles of Riddick, Assault on Precinct 13 and Van Helsing.
