In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, it seems that the lawyers for 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros. in the Watchmen case, have asked a federal judge that hearings be delayed Friday so that hopeful settlement talks can happen over the weekend.

Despite allowing this, U.S District Judge Gary Allen Feess said that the January 20 trial will still go on as plan.

Fox is currently suing Warner Bros. to halt the March 6 release of the film. Their claim is that Warner Bros. never should have filmed Watchmen and that they are in violation of interests for doing so. Judge Gary Allen Feess said that based on previous agreements Fox should have a stake in the films distribution.

Fox and Warner Bros. are now trying to sort everything out to make the film's release date.
