Fox is taking another approach to love with its new adaptation. According to Variety, the studio has picked up the rights to the new novel The Opposite of Love. The novel marks Julie Buxbaum's literary debut and it was published in January by Dial Press.

Kara Holden will write the adaptation of the novel. The story revolves around a 29-year-old successful female attorney who struggles with commitment so much that she leaves her current boyfriend right before he was to propose to her.

"This is such a fresh look at the hilarious and heartbreaking struggle of how to love and accept love," said Holden.

A production schedule was not released.
