20th Century Fox has picked up the Brent Forrester surfing comedy script Big Wave.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the story follows the world's greatest big wave surfer who, after being sidelined for years after a traumatic wipeout, decides to surf again in order to save a convalescent home for old surfers. The concept is from an idea from Ben Stiller, who will also act as producer on the project.

The brother team of Emmett and Brendan Malloy are attached to direct the comedy; no cast or production schedule has been announced. Look for Big Wave to hang 10 on the big screen in 2007.
