20th Century Fox has handed out new release dates for two of its upcoming adaptations, The Fault in Our Stars, opening on June 6, 2014, and The Maze Runner, which was moved from a Valentine's Day release to September 19, 2014.

The Fault in Our Stars is going up against Universal Pictures' sci-fi thriller Edge of Tomorrow, starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort star in this adaptation of John Green's novel, which follows a budding romance between two teenage cancer patients. Sam Trammell, Laura Dern, and Willem Dafoe co-star.

The Maze Runner is facing the Warner Bros. family sequel Dolphin Tale 2 and Columbia Pictures' football drama When the Game Stands Tall. The story is adapted from James Dashner's novel about a group of teenagers who are mysteriously trapped in a massive maze. Dylan O'Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Patricia Clarkson star.

In a more immediate release date shift, 20th Century Fox has moved The Book Thief up one week from November 15 to November 8, where it will go up against Marvel's Phase Two sequel Thor: The Dark World.
