In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Fox has ordered a pilot of Ron Howard's IRS TV show. The presently untitled project will be a half-hour in length and it will be produced by 20th TV and Imagine TV.

Brent Forrester (The Office) wrote the script for the project. It is a workplace comedy that is set at an Internal Revenue Service district office. Howard has been wanting to make this show for years.

Brian Grazer and David Nevins will be producing.

Fox bought the project in September with one of the biggest penalties this development season, it is said to be in the range of $650,000. Originally, the show was supposed to be shot with multiple cameras, though the pilot is going to be shot with a single-camera.

This is Howard's first series project since the Emmy-winning show Arrested Development.
