20th Century Fox will distribute the CG animated feature, Space Chimps, set for a 2008 theatrical release. Vanguard Animation is producing the film.

According to Variety, Space Chimps is a family comedy about the descendants of the first chimps sent into space. Norton Virgien and Donovan Cook are set to direct from a script first written by Kirk De Micco (Racing Stripes). The movie is being produced for about $40 million.
