It seems that TV's latest reincarnation drama will have to come back as something else in its next life. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox has canceled its new series Past Life after just three episodes.

The show had been critically panned and struggled in the ratings as well, coming off a dismal fourth-place finish last night with a 1.1 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. To compensate for the empty slot, Fox will air new original episodes of Kitchen Nightmares (the show will still air on Friday nights as well) for three weeks. Starting on March 18, the slot will be filled by repeats of both Bones and Fringe, leading up to both series' return with new episodes on April 1.

It wasn't clear when Fox would air the remaining episodes of Past Life, but it was said they would air sometime later this season.
