It seems the only thing at can stop Robocop is a studio merger.

In a story from The Digital Bits, it appears that the highly anticipated Robocop Blu-ray DVD has been pushed back.

It appears that "because the distribution of MGM titles has moved to 20th Century Fox," Sony will no longer be releasing this film in the next generation format. Fox is expected to announce their Blu-ray titles later this year and Robocop is expected to be among the movies announced for release.
