In a story from The Hollywood Reporter it looks like Fox Searchlight has picked up worldwide rights to Crazy Heart.

The film stars Jeff Bridges and will be coming to theaters this spring.

The story centers on a down-on-his-luck, alcoholic country music singer (Bridges) who is able to get his life and career back on track through his relationship and experiences with a female reporter (Gyllenhaal). Robert Duvall also co-stars. The movie is based on the debut novel by Thomas Cobb.

Composer and producer T Bone Burnett has produced original music for the film and soundtrack.
