According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox Searchlight is getting back together with actress Hilary Swank to distribute Betty Anne Waters.

The studio and Swank last worked together on Amelia.

Fox Searchlight grabbed North American and select international rights to Betty Anne Waters from Omega Entertainment.

The film is directed by Tony Goldwyn and written by Pamela Gray. It is based-on-a-true-story and "stars Swank as a high school dropout and single mom who puts herself through law school in order to overturn the murder conviction of her brother (Sam Rockwell)."

Also in the cast are Melissa Leo, Minnie Driver, Juliette Lewis and Peter Gallagher.
