Fox Home Video has something special inside this new version of an old DVD.

In a story from DVD Active, they report that the studio will release a limited edition of 28 Days Later on May 1.

It seems that the Extras on this release will be the same as the ones on the current release. However, this new version will offer "an exclusive sneak peek at the theatrical sequel 28 Weeks Later through behind-the-scenes footage, and an exclusive '28 Days Later: The Aftermath' animated featurette that bridges the storyline between the two films." Also, purchasers of this DVD will also get a "Movie Money coupon good for one free admission" when the new film hits theaters.
