The new fall TV season has just begun to kick into high gear, and now comes news of its first cancellation. According to Variety, Fox has buried an ax deep inside the head of its freshman series Do Not Disturb, which starred Niecy Nash and Jerry O'Connell as hotel workers. The sitcom only made it through three episodes before being pulled off the network.

The show averaged a 1.6 rating and 4 share, pulling in just 4 million viewers in its three times at bat. Before the news came in, Fox had already decided to pre-empted next week's episode in favor of a second 'Til Death episode.
