Robots: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Imax Corporation said Wednesday that Twentieth Century Fox's Robots will bow simultaneously March 11th on its giant screens and in traditional cinemas.

Toronto-based Imax said it used its DMR technology to remaster the animated feature for an Easter release.

Robots will reteam Twentieth Century Fox, Blue Sky Pictures and film director Chris Wedge, who collaborated on the 2002 animated feature Ice Age. Twentieth Century Fox also previously released Lucas Films' Star Wars: Attack of the Clones on Imax screens. Imax said the deal for Robots, a computer-generated cartoon feature voiced by Ewan McGregor, Halle Berry and Robin Williams, marked the first day-and-date DMR release for the large-format exhibitor in the spring and its first commercial release announced so far for next year.
