According to Variety, Warner Bros. has taken North American rights to Kirsten Sheridan's upcoming fantasy love story August Rush.

Freddie Highmore (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Robin Williams and Liv Tyler are in talks to star in the film, which starts shooting this August in New York.

Set in Central Park, it's the story of boy who has lost his parents and embarks on a magical musical journey to be reunited with them.

The producer is Southpaw Entertainment's Richard B. Lewis, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Nick Castle, Jim Hart and Sheridan.

Highmore will play the boy, Tyler his mother and Williams the mysterious benefactor wizard. Hans Zimmer will provide the music, which plays a central role in the film's storyline.
