Monsieur Cinema recently broke the news that French actress Melanie Laurent has joined the cast of Quentin Tarantino's upcoming World War II epic Inglorious Bastards. At this time, there is no indication as to who'll she'll be playing.

Dark Horizons (responsible for translating the French story), believes that she will be playing the female lead character known as Shoshanna Dreyfus, a French Jew that escaped the Nazis as a teenager, and now owns the movie theater that is under attack in the film. Apparently, the actress has already flown out to Los Angeles, where she is working closely with Tarantino in preparation for the role.
