While the new reimagining of Friday the 13th doesn't hit theaters for another few weeks, there has apparently already been sequel talks. JoBlo is reporting, from "a very reliable source" that a sequel to Friday the 13th "will happen" and that they've even slotted a release date of August 13, 2010 for the sequel.

The site also caught up with the new Jason Voorhes, Derek Mears, who had some interesting remarks about a potential sequel.

"I don't know anything" about the plans for a sequel but quickly added with a smile, "if they do a Part 2, I would love to be a part of


A sequel hasn't been confirmed by the studio as of yet and we'll surely keep you updated on any Friday the 13th sequel news. Friday the 13th hits theaters on February 13.
