Elsa and Anna are back as Walt Disney Pictures and Walt Disney Animation Studios has just released the official trailer for Frozen 2. The trailer release comes a day after the debut of of an all-new poster, depicting the two sisters back together again. This time, they will be finding new adventures outside of Arendelle in what will most likely become one of Disney's highest-performing movies. It goes without saying that this will be a must-see movie for anyone who enjoyed the first installment, so you can go ahead and mark those calendars now for Frozen 2's official release date on Nov. 22, 2019.

All of the main cast from the original movie are back to reprise the same roles. This includes Kristen Bell as Anna, Idina Menzel as Elsa, Josh Gad as Olaf the Snowman, Jonathan Groff as Kristoff, and Santino Fontana as Hans. Series newcomers Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld) and Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us) will also be a part of the new cast. The sequel is directed by the co-directors of the first Frozen, Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, using a screenplay by Allison Schroeder. All of the right tools are here for the sequel to be just as magnificent as the original, and because the movie looks promising, chances are Frozen 2 is going to be met with great success.

Released in 2013, Frozen is one of the most successful movies of all time. It tells the story of a princess trekking to her reclusive, magical sister's ice castle for assistance when their hometown of Arendelle is afflicted with a permanent winter. While it had a steep budget of around $150 million, the animated venture wound up grossing over $1.2 billion in worldwide ticket sales. This officially makes it the highest-grossing animated movie of all time, and the 14th highest-grossing movie overall. When we consider this along with the building anticipation for the next movie, it's completely plausible the sequel could perform even better once it's released in theaters.

Subscribers to Disney's upcoming Disney+ streaming service will have even more Frozen content to look forward to. Back in April, it was announced that a companion docuseries surrounding the production of Frozen 2 was going to be made available to stream soon after the movie's release. Called Into the Unknown: Making Frozen 2, the docuseries will tell the complete story of how the sequel came to be and should be premiering on Disney+ within the service's first year of operation.

Every Disney movie is all but guaranteed to be a hit, based on the established brand name alone. However, as mentioned, Frozen has been particularly a huge hit for the company, and the release of the sequel can be seen as somewhat of a special event. It remains to be seen if it will reach the same tremendous heights financially as the original, but it's safe to plan on the theaters being incredibly crowded that weekend. You can watch Frozen 2 when it premieres in theaters everywhere on Nov. 22, 2019, and you can check out the new official trailer below.
