Universal Pictures' Furious 7 brings back all of your Fast & Furious franchise favorites such as Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Lucas Black, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris. Of course, there are plenty of new additions to the cast as well, who are all featured in a new behind-the-scenes preview. After his brief cameo at the end of Fast & Furious 6, Jason Statham returns as Deckard Shaw, the older brother of Ian Shaw (Luke Evans) who wants to avenge his brother's death. As Dwayne Johnson reveals, Jason Statham's fighting prowess comes "as advertised," as we see footage from their epic fight sequence.
We also see new footage with Kurt Russell in action, although there is still much we don't know about his mysterious character. The featurette also sheds new light on Nathalie Emmanuel's Ramsey, a "hacktivist" who Dom and his group rescue, and we see action-packed behind-the-scenes footage from Ronda Rousey and Michelle Rodriguez's fight scene. We also see new scenes with Tony Jaa's Rey, Djimon Hounsou's Jakande and learn more about all of these characters from producer Neal H. Moritz.
Directed by James Wan, Furious 7 hits theaters nationwide on April 3. What remains to be seen is whether or not this will really be the franchise's "last ride" at the box office, following the tragic death of Paul Walker in 2013. With all of these new characters on board, would you like to see more from the Fast & Furious franchise? Or do you think they should call it quits after seven action-packed blockbusters?
