Lucy Liu (Kill Bill), Method Man (Keanu), Suki Waterhouse (Insurgent), Snoop Dogg (Meet the Blacks), Margarita Levieva (The Lincoln Lawyer) and Jeffrey Wahlberg are starring alongside James Franco and Milla Jovovich in the post-apocalyptic thriller Future World. James Franco is directing alongside Bruce Cheung, with Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi's AMBI Pictures producing alonside Franco's Dark Rabbit Productions. The news comes just one day after we reported Milla Jovovich has signed on to star.

The movie is set in the barren landscape of a post-apocalyptic world, where a young Prince from the Oasis (one of the last known safe-havens) and a robot named Ash go on a daring journey of self-discovery - one that winds through the violent and desolate world of the Wastelands. Bruce Cheung and Jay Davis wrote the screenplay, from an original story by Franco. It isn't known if a release date has been set at this time by the AMBI Group, or when production may begin.

AMBI Group, the movie development, finance, production and distribution group owned and run by Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi, is financing the film in association with the Fyzz Facility and Black Sparrow, and producing with Dark Rabbit Productions. Producers are Iervolino, Monika Bacardi, Vince Jolivette and Jay Davis. AMBI Distribution, the worldwide sales arm of the AMBI Group, is handling global sales. Here's what Andrea Iervolino had to say in a statement.

"Future World is a mesmerizing story with the kind of boundry-pushing creativity unique to James. When you have the combined talents and gravitas of Milla, Lucy, Method Man, Suki, Snoop, and James interwoven through a wild story - what unfolds on screen is unreal. This is going to be a fun project that plays universally."

The film marks the second collaboration in the last year between Iervolino and Monika Bacardi's AMBI Group and James Franco. They teamed to produce In Dubious Battle, the feature film adaption of the classic John Steinbeck novel, which Franco also directed and starred in alongside Selena Gomez, Vincent D'Onofrio, Robert Duvall, Ed Harris, Bryan Cranston, Nat Wolff, Josh Hutcherson, Zach Braff, Analeigh Tipton, Ashley Greene, John Savage and Sam Shepherd. Stay tuned for more casting updates on James Franco's Future World.
